Historic Spain, an European Country of Geographical and Cultural Diversity

My wife and I visited Spain in June 2006. Spain, which shares the Iberian Peninsula with Portugal at the western end of the Mediterranean Sea, is a country of historical importance, now finding renewed prosperity as a member of the European Union.

It is a country of large geographical and cultural diversity, and while our visit was limited to three cities: Barcelona, Toledo and Madrid, the places give adequate testament to modern Spain today. I also did a special section on the architecture of Antonio Gaudi.
