Pindaya - The City of the Cave in Shan State - One of Sam's Exotic Travels

Pindaya, a three hour drive from Heho is a city located in the hills of the Shan State, the largest area within Myanmar. The cave is noted for its 800 Buddha statues, but is also a bustling market town located on a small lake. We were there on market day, so I had an opportunity to see many local people.

Pindaya Highlights - posted to Flickr! - Viewing albums on Flickr is a little tricky. The easiest way is (1) open the set and then (2) choose Detail view in the lower left corner.
