| Sam's Exotic Travel to Mumbai (Bombay), India - A City of Contrasts
Mumbai, called Bombay while under British rule, is a city of contrasts, from the historical significance of the city and scenic harbor views to the abject poverty of its poor. Renamed from Bombay in 1995, Mumbai, with 12.6 million inhabitants, is the largest city in India and the sixth largest in the world. Mumbai is located on the west coast of India and is the capital of the state of Maharashtra. The city is located on an island with a deep natural harbor and is the nation's commercial capital.
