About the Artist

Jeremy trained as a scientist in Sydney, Australia, and works as a molecular biologist in medical research at the University of New South Wales. However, his love of photography dominates life outside work. This love grew out of a respect for the environment gained from his travels, first through long-distance cycling, then more recently from hiking in Australia, and around the world.

All Jeremy’s holidays are now centred around hiking trips, and his photographic excursions would not be possible without his partner Claire helping to share the load and the path (or lack of it!).

The digital aspect of photography has been a revelation for Jeremy. Although still using film to capture images, the ability to digitise film, then stitch these images to produce panoramas of any desired angle “has been a revelation”.
