Sam's Exotic Travels to Giza and the Great Pyramids of Egypt

The Pyramids of Egypt represent one of the most enduring symbols of Ancient Egyptian civilization. It is generally accepted by most archaeologists that they were constructed as burial monuments associated with royal solar and stellar cults, and most were built during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.  There are over eighty pyramids which survive from ancient Egypt. The three largest and best-preserved of these were built at Giza at the beginning of the Old Kingdom.

I actually have two sets from Giza, a visit to the Great Pyramids and a sunrise camel ride in the desert.  Hope you like them both, which have been posted to Flickr!  Viewing albums on Flickr is a little tricky.  The easiest way is (1) open the set and then (2) choose Detail view .  This will open the set so you can see a larger thumbnail of each photo and its description.  If you do this, you can quickly view thumbnails and expand to see enlarged views for any and all pictures.  If you are a member of Flickr, I would also appreciate any comments you might have and your vote for your favorite photos.
