| Dujiangyan Irrigation System - Chengdu, Sichuan Province, ChinaSituated on the upper and middle reaches of the Minjiang River in west Chengdu Plain, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System is a historical and cultural site in the Dujiangyan City, a tourist city honored by relevant Chinese national departments. As a landmark water conservancy project, for the last 2,200 years the water contraol project has been serving as an agricultural lifeline of the west Chengdu Plain. The system is made up of Yuzui Dyke, Feishayan, a spill for discharging flood and silt, and Baopingkou, a main diversion gate to draw in water for irrigation.
