Angkor Thom – Angkor’s Great City and One of Sam's Exotic Travels

Built in the late 12th Century by King Jayavarman VII, Angkor Thom is the largest complex of temples of all the Angkor remains and an estimated home to one million people, rivaling London and Paris in size during it period of greatness. All the residences were built of wood and none have survived - the stone buildings were reserved for temples and walls surrounding the 12 square kilometer site.

All photos below are posted to Flickr!  Viewing albums on Flickr is a little tricky.  The easiest way is (1) open the set and then (2) choose Detail view  in the lower left corner.  This will open the set so you can see a larger thumbnail of each photo and its description.  If you do this, you can quickly view thumbnails and expand to see enlarged views for any and all pictures.  I would also appreciate any comments you might have and your vote for your favorite photos.
